Configure DNS settings with the Google Fiber app

To enable Dynamic DNS, use the Service Provider menu to choose a provider. These are advanced settings that you won't need to view or change for typical use of your network.

We regularly update the GFiber App with new features to help make it even easier for you to manage your home or business network. We’ll be making improvements throughout 2025 and beyond, so your GFiber App might look different from the examples below.

You can use the GFiber app to customize your network's DNS settings.

Dynamic DNS is only supported on the original black Network Box, models GFRG210 and GFRG200. It is not supported on our new 2G devices or GWifi. Refer to this link for more info.
 
To configure your DNS settings:
  1. Tap Network.
  2. Touch Edit Network Settings.

  3. Tap Advanced Network Settings.

  4. Touch DNS. 
  5. To customize your DNS settings, tap the Define custom servers toggle.

  6. Once you toggle it ON, enter up to 3 DNS server addresses and click Save.

  7. To enable Dynamic DNS, use the Service Provider menu to choose a service provider.

These are advanced settings. You won't need to view or change these settings for typical use of your network.
